State and Randolph

Sunday morning. In the background, you can see the leaves of the State Street bridge above the CTA station at State and Lake. The Loop is closed: the bridges which connect the Loop to the north neighborhoods are open; the streets which connect the the Loop to the south neighborhoods are closed. CTA trains and bus service, and Metra trains, have been suspended.

The Loop is quiet save the sounds of boarding up broken windows, there are so many, and sirens.
