Brutalist
Metropolitan Correctional Center, Harry Weese and Associates, 1975. Perhaps the most well known example of brutalist architecture in Chicago, The Federal Prison at Van Buren and Clark Street is located near some of the oldest skyscrapers in the city. I’ve used the MCC to frame the Sears Tower and Board of Trade building to create what I imagine might be a view from the inside.
The MCC is one of my favorite buildings in the south loop
It is certainly striking. Thank-you!
