One of the (many) cool things we Seattleites can do is send fresh caught Salmon to our friends in other places. Places where Salmon or (truly) fresh fish isn’t easy to acquire.
In Seattle our fish fly! Perhaps powered by Boeing?
So, yes, I sent dear friends a dead fish*.

The occasion is, ostensibly, their daughter’s choice to matriculate at the University of Washington. I’m choosing to celebrate her excellent choice of cities to live, learn and explore!
Walking through the market just before the vendors pack up for the night is always restorative. A dear (super neat, fun and funny) pal arrives for the weekend tomorrow so a bunch of fragrant lilacs seemed like a good choice to welcome her!

*Since I like my friends I had the Salmon filleted. 😉
Good choice! And thank you for supporting the local economy.
Yes! I support local businesses as much as possible. BTW: If you find yourself in Ballard anytime soon a(nother) dear friend just opened a new coffee shop + restaurant today. Check out Royal Drummer. Jill Killen is an amazing lady!

Whoo-hooo! There can never be too many coffee shops. I’m not kidding, I really believe this.
