grey days

Sunrise, sunset

The view of Sunday’s sunrise (7:17 a.m.) and sunset (4:39 p.m.).

Yesterday was a good day to fill the place with music and the smells of comfort food. The day started with Muddy Water’s “Blues Before Sunrise”, and Eric Clapton’s cover of the same, then meandered through Waters’ Chess Records catalog and a good portion of Big Bill Broonzy’s, too. Midday, brought Miguel Zenon and Luis Perdomo’s new release “El Arte del Bolero” into the party and it is fantastic. As the sun set, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ “At The Jazz Corner Of The World” kept things moving while the most comforting of comfort foods from my childhood, tuna noodle casserole, bubbled in the oven.
