Big Red

From the corner of Wabash and Randolph you can see the building formerly known as CNA Center, née Continental Center III, and the new home of CNA Financial at 151 N. Franklin Street.

Earlier this summer, the CNA lettering was removed from the Big Red building which leaves a “ghost sign” of sorts.

I am fascinated with the history of buildings: how they are built, the architecture and how they fit into, define and reflect the history of the cities they create.
