Thursday morning

Waning Gibbous, 88%

Around 3:55 a.m., Thursday morning. I was awoken by the sounds of hammering and ended up on the roof deck of my building to make a couple of images of the new crosswalk art at the intersection of E. Pike and Minor Avenue.

Turns out, my neighbor was up and interested in the shenanigans and we really, really surprised each other in the early morning darkness on the roof.

After we recovered, or after I gathered my wits, I spied the moon in the Southeastern sky.

I won’t see the moon this evening. As I write this the sky is the color of sulfur, the low clouds are reflecting the long rays as the sun sets.
