Fire resistant since 1871

The Chicago Water Tower, 1869, William W. Boyington. The only public building to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Today has been sunny, but cold. The tulips are just starting to break ground in Jane Byrne park which surrounds the Tower.
