The sandstone slabs and spires at the Peshatin Pinnacles State Park are an impressive sight from Highway 2. The peaks rising from the rolling hills of the high desert on the Eastern the side of mountains are a stark contrast to the woods of the Okanogan/Wenatchee Forest.
The park is a pleasant place to stop for a rest and a snack and to watch the climbers ascend. The trails are steep but accessible and the views well worth the effort.

Eastern Washington, in another universe.
