The lovely, fabulous and funny Karen Hawkins, that’s Miss Hawkins Rebelle In Chief, arrived Seattle on Thursday afternoon! The long weekend kicked off with action-packed, fun-filled adventures.
We walked down to Pike Place Market for tasty repast of yogurt from Ellenos (seriously good) and a walk through the Market arcade while the vendors set up for what was certain to be a busy day.
Then, back to Westlake Center for a ride on the Monorail, who doesn’t appreciate the Monorail?, to Seattle Center.
Karen’s dear friend Hello Kitty is spending the Spring at Experience Music Project so we simply couldn’t miss the chance to say “Hello” and catch up!
We wandered about Seattle Center, taking in the lovely views of the Space Needle and Gehry’s design before lunch at Greenleaf, in the basement of the beautiful (to my eye) Labor Temple Building, on 1st Avenue.
We meandered East for a tour of the new Amazon headquarters at 2021 Westlake (Doppler), then back home to rest up before dinner with dear friends Jenn, Jill and chatty Simone.
Here’s one of my favorite moments: holding Simone, just a couple of hours old here, as she says “Hello World!”
