Thanks! The radio is an old Motorola transistor (still works). The book is “Sisters In Law: How Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsberg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World.” — Linda Hirshman.
Good emergency preparedness! Everyone should have a battery-operated radio and a big book to read during Snowpocalypse. But you should also add a flashlight to your bedside table and some slippers or flip-flops under the bed. After an earthquake, more people jump out of bed and injure their feet (stepping on something) than any other cause!
Nice. Is that a retro clock/radio?
