An early start afforded me the chance to see some incredible scenery along the drive from Seattle to Kennewick, WA. Watching the sun rise over the mountains then to find the rolling hills of the desert glowing gold against the bright blue skies in the morning light made for a memorable day.

After finishing up the day in Kennewick, a walk along the Columbia Trail taking in the views Columbia River and bridges connecting Pasco and Kennwick proved to be a relaxing start to a long weekend.
