The Amtrak Cascades is a great way to travel between Seattle and Portland (or Seattle and Vancouver). The views are stunning, especially to the West but Mt. Rainier makes a breathtaking cameo to the East, the crew kind and generous with their knowledge. Pack some snacks and “go by train”!
